Cargration has launched a new direct Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping service from Shanghai to key Latin American ports, reducing transit times to as little as 28 days. The service calls at Santos (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), San Antonio (Chile), and Callao (Peru), with onward connections to 10 additional destinations across the region.

Previously, vehicles destined for Latin America required transshipment at中转 ports in Europe or the Panama Canal, adding 10-15 days to transit times. The new direct service eliminates these delays and reduces the risk of cargo handling damage.

“Latin America is one of our fastest-growing markets,” said Cargration’s logistics director. “This direct service means buyers in São Paulo or Buenos Aires receive their vehicles faster and with fewer handling touchpoints.”

The service operates on a bi-weekly schedule, with each vessel capable of carrying up to 4,500 vehicles. Cargration customers receive real-time tracking and digital documentation throughout the voyage.
